If you struggle with anxiety, life can seem like a battle. But God understands the extend of your worry. And because of the gospel of peace, the one thing you don't have to fear is losing His love. Even in the darkest nights of the soul, the God of all peace is with you and for you. ~ David Jeremiah

Robin and Sparrow...
Said the robin to the sparrow:
'I should really like to know,
why these anxious human beings
rush about and worry so.'
Said the sparrow to the robin:
Friend I think it must be that
they have no Heavenly Father,
such as cares for you and me

A Thankful Heart
A thankful heart is one of the primary identifying characteristics of a believer. It stands in stark contrast to pride, selfishness, and worry. And it helps fortify the believer's trust in the Lord and reliance of His provision, even in the toughest times. No matter how choppy the seas become, a believer's heart is buoyed by constant praise and gratefulness to the Lord. ~ John MacArthur

Wickedness...
Worrying always results in sin. We tend to think that a little anxiety and worry are simply an indication of how wise we really are, yet it is actually a much better indication of just how wicked we are. Fretting rises from our determination to have our own way. Our Lord never worried and was never anxious, because His purpose was never to accomplish His own plans but to fulfill God’s plans. Fretting is wickedness for a child of God. ~ Oswald Chambers

Don't Lose Heart
When the struggles of our life are confronted by the anticipation of the coming King, the result is an overwhelming sense of peace. The eternal hope of Jesus Christ is greater than the temporary struggle of life's circumstances. It is in this space that a significant truth emerges. We can overcome in Christ Jesus because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world." ~ John Comstock
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. ~ 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV)

Breath of Life
"God has breathed into you the breath of life, not the breath of timidity, not the breath of anxiety, not the breath of worry. The breath of life!" ~ Lutz

Stuck in the Past
"Sometimes we are so stuck in a past that we cannot change, or so afraid of
a future over which we have limited control, that we don’t really appreciate
the present—the very moment before us. We worry about what happened or what
will happen, and we forget about what is happening. We squander the one thing
we have for certain—now." ~ Sandy

Waiting...
Sometimes it seems as though we spend our lives waiting. Daydreaming about an upcoming vacation, worrying over a medical test, preparing for the birth of grandchild-our days are filled with anticipation and anxiety over what the future holds. As Christians, we too spend our lives waiting. But we are waiting for something much bigger than a trip, bigger even than retirement or a wedding: We are waiting for the return of Jesus in glory. Advent heightens this sense of waiting, because it marks not only our anticipation of Jesus' final coming, but also our remembrance of his arrival into our world more than 2,000 years ago. ~ Anonymous
