It's a lot harder to recognize the goodness of God's holy interruptions when we're satisfied with the treasures of this world. ~ Tiffany Smiling

Giving that Transforms
"Scripture (Matthew 6:19-20) calls us to break the pattern of laying up treasures for ourselves. Could we accept a challenge of putting a cap on how much of our income we use for ourselves and give every dollar we earn above that cap to Kingdom purposes? In his book The Great Omission, Steve Saint, says some of the "heaviest crowns in heaven" will be worn by hardworking men and women who deny themselves what society says they "deserve" to help finance Great Commission Work. ~ Howard Culbertson (Giving that Transforms)

Where Is Your Treasure?
"It's far too common today for believers to acquire the biggest home and the most expensive car they can borrow money for. Those believers' finances get tied up in mortgage payments, car payments, and every other kind of payment, resulting in them not seeing how they can give much for world evangelism." ~ Howard Culberton (Giving that Transforms)

All the Good Things
“All the good things of life are less than nothing when compared with his love . . . All the treasures of a million worlds could not make me richer, happier, more contented, for his unsearchable riches are mine.” ~ Valley of Vision (as quoted by Nancy Leigh DeMoss)

Store Your Treasures Safely
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. ~ Jesus from Matthew 6:19-21 (NIV 1984)

Only Alive When...
We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.
